Cool Schools
The Cool Schools Peer Mediation Programme is a whole schools programme that was developed in 1991. It aims to train students in the skills of mediation and conflict resolution, whereby children learn to mediate conflict amongst their peers. It is now in over half of the schools throughout Aotearoa/New Zealand.
Cool Schools Parents Programme
Bringing Cool Schools Home The Cool Schools Parents’ Programme seeks to enable parents to use the mediation skills that the children learn at school so as to reinforce these skills in the home. The programme provides alternative ways of dealing with conflict in the home and encourages parents to meet other parents from the school to share experiences and work together.
Schools' Outreach Programme (Wellington Only)
