Eve Cahill: Co-op opened doors
Working for The Peace Foundation for her cooperative education placement provided great insight into the importance of social education for Eve. The placement included co-facilitating the Peace Foundation's Cool Schools Peer Mediation Programme at schools around Auckland. This involved creating resources and presentations and running activities to develop students' conflict resolution skills. "I had to research and develop my ideas which got me thinking outside the box when dealing with peace, war, conflict, and conflict resolution concepts. The experience gave me more practical knowledge and tools to complement the theory I was learning at AUT." She adds it also gave her a good referee to put on her CV. Read her full story here.
